About Windows installer warnings
ClippyAI's Windows installer is code-signed via Azure Trusted Signing — publisher Amro Dabbas. Microsoft is still building download reputation for our publisher (this happens automatically as more users install). Until then, Windows SmartScreen may show a precautionary warning — this is normal for any new app.
Verify the signature before installing:

What platforms does ClippyAI run on?
Native apps for macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon and Intel, signed by Apple Developer ID and notarized) and Windows 10/11 (signed via Azure Trusted Signing). Both ship as standalone installers — no app store required.
What can ClippyAI control?
Depending on your plan, ClippyAI operates desktop workflows across apps, browser, email, calendar, files, spreadsheets, and system utilities. The Free plan covers screen-aware chat only; the Power and Max plans add full desktop, browser, and document automation — and Max includes premium voice.
Can ClippyAI send emails, delete files, or make purchases?
Only after you confirm. ClippyAI pauses before any sensitive action — sending messages, deleting files, making purchases, or any irreversible change. Destructive actions always wait for your explicit approval.
What leaves my computer?
For each AI request, ClippyAI sends your message, the active window's title, and the structured UI accessibility context needed to complete the task — visible labels, text, control roles, and coordinates. Browser history, saved passwords, microphone, and webcam input are never transmitted.
Are screenshots used?
ClippyAI uses structured accessibility text first. Only when the screen cannot be understood that way (canvas drawings, custom-rendered UIs, raster images) may ClippyAI capture a single screenshot for that one request. Screenshots are never stored, never used for training, and only sent when the task genuinely requires them.
Can I disable screenshots entirely?
Yes. Open ClippyAI's Settings and disable screenshot capture. ClippyAI will then refuse tasks it can't complete from accessibility text alone, rather than capturing the screen.
What AI providers process requests?
ClippyAI runs on OpenAI's GPT models exclusively. Your subscription covers all AI costs — no API key needed. Provider details are maintained in the Privacy Policy.
Is my data used for AI training?
No. Your prompts, screen context, and any screenshots are processed for the active request and are not used to train any model.
How do I pause or quit ClippyAI?
Right-click Clippy or the system-tray (Windows) / menu-bar (Mac) icon → Sleep to pause, or Quit to fully exit. While asleep or closed, ClippyAI does not read the screen and does not send anything to our backend.
Is the installer signed?
Yes. macOS releases are signed by Apple Developer ID: Amro Dabbas (69FFPCC322) and notarized by Apple. Windows releases are signed via Azure Trusted Signing. Always download from clippyai.app and verify before running. See the install-security guide for step-by-step verification.
How do I cancel?
Open the welcome email we sent when you got your license key — there's a "Manage your subscription" link to the Stripe Customer Portal where you can cancel, change plans, or update your card. You can also click Settings → Manage Subscription inside Clippy.
What happens when I hit my usage limit?
ClippyAI lets you know and stops responding until your billing period resets, or you upgrade to a higher plan. The Free plan includes 100K tokens/month for chat and tips; Power's 5M and Max's 20M give heavy automation users plenty of headroom.
How do I report a bug or security issue?
For bugs: right-click Clippy → View Logs → Report Issue. Logs attach automatically and reports land in our inbox. For security disclosures, email hello@clippyai.app with the word "SECURITY" in the subject. We acknowledge within one business day.
